Sue Aston releases Between Worlds

Sue was looking for a studio to record her third album so she and Dare had a meeting at the VIP Lounge early in 2010. Having listened to her previous albums, Dare suggested that they take a different route on this one, going for a more organic sound. Sue liked the idea and they began work straight away.

One feature of this album is the high level of musicianship provided by Sue herself, a very accomplished violin player, but also a host of talented local classical musicians, led by concert pianist John Thompson.

“This is a wonderfully varied collection, beautifully played and ideally espousing Sue’s dictum of the unifying power of music.”
David Kidman (Folk and Roots)

“Between worlds oozes with talent, each piece a perfect landscape of Cornwall painted by Sue Aston’s violin playing. From the soft idyllic side of The Final Homecoming to the original and uplifting Celtic sounds of Mazey Dazey, it’s easy to see why she is so vital to the classical scene, both in Cornwall and further afield.
Between Worlds will no doubt only see her importance and popularity soar.”
Craig Broad (MyCornwall)

“This is a beautiful, no expenses spared, production of top quality. It captures the deep mystic quality of Cornwall. I could go on but I think I have made my point – just buy it and enjoy.”
Richard Pearn (Amazon)
